Environmental Testing

As forcing bodies place pressure on industries to conserve the environment by reducing harmful emissions, and to ensure the safety of personnel during operations, companies are required to prove that their activities do not carry risks of harmful effects on the natural environment and are implemented in a safe manner.

Third-party tests aid companies to meet the requirements of a broad range of national and international regulations and standards, e.g., national regulations, world bank regulations, OSHA, NIOSH and ISO standards (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001).

I.D. Technical Services acts as a third-party company, accredited by the Jordanian Accreditation System against ISO/IEC 17025 as an environmental testing laboratory, and works with the local and the regional industrial sectors to monitor air quality and emissions, and assure healthful working environments.

I.D Technical Services provides a wide range of environmental and work environment tests, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Particulate matter (Dust) tests,

           including:

  •  TSP
  • PM10
  • PM2.5

  • Air quality tests (indoor & outdoor),

           including:

  • Total volatile organic compounds (TVOC)
  • Sulphur dioxide (SO2)
  • Nitrogen oxides (NOx)
  • Carbon monoxide (CO)
  • Carbon dioxide (CO2)
  • Ammonia (NH3)
  • Ozone (O3)
  • Hydrogen sulphide (H2S)

  • Emissions from stationary sources tests, e.g., Flue gas analysis for O2, CO, CO2, SO2, NOx and efficiencies.

  • Noise level tests,

           including:

  • A weighting
  • C weighting

  • Illuminance (Light) level tests in work environment, i.e., Lux level tests

  • Heat stress tests in work environment, i.e., temperature and humidity tests,

           including:

  • Wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT)
  • Wet bulb temperature
  • Dry bulb temperature
  • Black globe temperature
  • Relative humidity

  • Vehicles’ emissions tests (opacity tests)
